Inside, Fern Cottage has been thoughtfully renovated and decorated to ensure you have the most comfortable and relaxing stay. The spacious living room has a comfy sofa, TV and cosy wood burner for the cooler evenings or those days when you just want to snuggle in front of the fire with a good book. Then you will find the sunny conservatory with further seating area. The large kitchen/dining room has everything you will need during to stay, from the smallest breakfast to the most sumptuous dinner, the dining area is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal or play games with the family. There are two bedrooms and a family bathroom, catering to all needs and wants. Outside, you have a private garden with patio area that overlooks the rolling fields beyond.
As Fern Cottage is nestled in the heart of Exmoor National Park, it is a paradise for walkers and bikers, as well as those who just love to enjoy the peace and quiet while gazing at the stars as light pollution is unheard of here. Many walks can be taken direct from the doorstep, or why not hop in the car and explore the villages that make Exmoor so special, with hidden country pubs sat on the banks of winding rivers to quaint tea rooms with homemade cakes and doorstep sandwiches.
Head to the coast and walk around the harbour of Watchet, play the arcades in Minehead or take the dog to Blue Anchor with its long stretch of pet friendly beach. Further afield you have the towns of Lynton and Lynmouth with its famous cliff railway, the highest and the steepest fully water-powered Victorian railway in the World. If Trains are your thing, then the West Somerset Steam Railway that runs from Bishops Lydeard to Minehead is a must do day out for all the family.
