A former weaver’s cottage, this property provides characterful accommodation in a beautiful rural location on the Applecross Peninsula.

This superbly presented detached stone cottage is perched on the edge of the sea on the picturesque Applecross Peninsula in a rural and coastal location. Originally a weaver’s cottage, this delightful house has been beautifully restored by its current owners and now combines the height of contemporary living with olde world charm. The main living area is open plan. This lovely room has exposed stone walls, a feature woodburner and spectacular views over the sea to the mountains beyond. There are three large bedrooms, all beautifully presented and two bathrooms, fitted to the same high specification. French doors open onto a large decking area; a wonderful spot to sit and admire the incredible views across the bay. Applecross Peninsula is renowned for its wild, rugged and unspoilt beauty. This is a fantastic area for hill walking, climbing in the Torridon Hills, kayaking around the coast and cycling the quiet lanes with amazing views around almost every corner. Sea loch 50 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 12 miles.

Large decked area with garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: This property has a natural water supply from a loch and is accessed by a sloping track.

    Excellent location for my needs (avoiding fireworks with the dogs!). Lovely well appointed cottage in a stunning location. Only downside was no garden for the dogs!.

    Lovely cottage in a fabulous location. Dogs loved it! Really enjoyed our stay. The kitchen could do with a few more bits and unfortnuately some areas hadn't been cleaned - were thick with dust and had food/hairs in the utensil drawers. But we loved the cottage and had a wonderful week.

    This really is a remote place to stay so if you really want piece and quiet this is the place for you. WARNING although the owners provide plenty of the basics, toilet rolls bin liners etc, you really need to take everything you need for your meals , we even took plenty of bottled water( the tap water is perfectly safe to drink but it has a slight yellow rings to it)&the grandchildren would not have drunk it. The heating in the house is excellent and much better than in some other places we have stayed. Overall a nice place to stay very comfortable for 6 people

    Stunning location there is another cottage that over looks Fearnmore house which does not show you in photos.would highly recommend doing a food shop at Inverness as there are no local supermarket s .We arrived at 6 pm so went to the shop at Applecross only to find it was closed but the owner kindly opened for us to get some essential s .

    We had a fantastic holiday at Fearnmore House. We were lucky to have a week of amazing weather and were able to make the most of the wonderful outdoor living space. The house is so well equipped, just remember to come with all the requirements needed for the duration of the stay (which we did) as the shops are few and far between. Have been frequent visitors to N W Scotland but not this area, all going well we’ll definitely be back.

    This was our second stay at Fearnmore and we had a fabulous week with our family. The location is wonderful and you feel the stress levels disappear as soon as you look out at the view from the decking area. The house is warm an comfortable. The only small thing I would add is the kitchen is in need of a bit of TLC.

    Fabulous cottage in a beautiful location. Will definitely return to Applecross area without a doubt. However, certain parts of the cottage could do with a deep clean e.g. the fridge, cooker and living room carpet. As we rented in winter and the water supply comes from the loch, we were told on the day we arrived that the pipes would freeze in cold weather and we could be without water. We had a 4 month old baby with us and although this wouldn't have stopped me coming, had I been informed beforehand I would have ensured I took bottled water to make baby formula if the water did stop. The upstairs bathroom wasn't working also because of the frozen pipes and so 4 adults had to share one bathroom and due to the loch filled tank, you must leave 15mins between each shower. This wouldn't have stopped me going here, but would have been nice information to have before hand.

    Superbly outfitted property, gorgeous location. Very well appointed with everything you need and more. The deck is excellent allowing great views of the night sky. The facility to take dogs was the main reason for the booking , could not have made a better choice. Even with winds recorded at over 100mph during our stay and driving rain could not detract from the great location. Night time driving to and from needs to be done with caution due to the narrow single track roads and local wildlife, deer, sheep and cattle. Would love to be back in the summer as long as midges are missing!! 😀😀
