Farview Cottage is a characterful, 300-year-old, end-terrace holiday cottage, nestled within the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside and with far reaching views across the Stroud valleys. The cottage is situated in the very heart of the south Cotswold village of Selsley, which boasts very popular local pubs. Wonderful walks are on your doorstep, including the Cotswold Way and National Trust common land. Close by is the bohemian town of Stroud, with its award-winning farmers’ market selling a great variety of local produce.

Famous for horse racing and festivals, Cheltenham and Gloucester, with its magnificent cathedral, are also worth a visit. The area is abundant with National Trust properties and other attractions, such as Berkeley Castle and Slimbridge Wetland Centre. The stunning, honey-coloured north Cotswold villages of Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden are just an hour’s drive. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

We had a fantastic few days at Farview. The cottage is very well-equipped, cosy and comfortable, we both slept really well! Great to have the option of bath or separate shower and a loo downstairs. Nice outdoor space that is a suntrap. It is only a short walk to a big Sainsbury's that sells pretty much everything and The Bell Inn serves great food and is a 2 minute walk away. We are keen walkers so loved having the Cotswold Way footpath on our doorstep. Would definitely book again.

Quiet location with good parking. Three high steps to entrance. Close to bus stop (service temporarily suspended due to road works) for Stroud. Sainsbury's supermarket close by. Excellent pub/restaurant within easy walking distance & the natives are friendly! King-size bed, excellent storage facilities in bedroom. People with limited mobility might struggle with steep steps to adjoining bathroom. Great plus is the level of equipment provided and extras such as milk in 'frig, spices etc. in kitchen. We literally lacked for nothing.

We had a great week. We are gradually walking the Cotswold way so with the Cotswold Way passing within 50 yds of the cottage we were able to do two walks straight from the cottage. The cottage itself was one of the best we have stayed in, spotlessly clean with lots of lovely little touches, a bowl of sweets on the table, milk and cakes tissues and many more. The local pub served delicious food and staff were very helpful and friendly. We would not hesitate to recommend it.

Really enjoyed our stay in this lovely cosy cottage. Nicely decorated and well equipped. All so very clean which is much appreciated. We found it easier to eat at the coffee table rather than the small dining table. The wood burner is fabulous for the winter months. There are lots of little touches that show the owners really care. Plenty of storage for clothing etc in the bedroom which is lovely and airy as is the large bathroom. The 3 steps to the front door and others to the bedroom and 2 down to the bathroom may be steep for those with mobility issues but otherwise fine. Unloading at the front door is no problem as the little lane is hardly used and plenty of parking space at the back. The utility room is really handy for storing boots and anything else and the downstairs toilet is also handy!

We had a brilliant time in the cottage. The location was fantastic - many walks right from your doorstep. The cottage was in a pristine condition, and there were many nice touches left for us such as milk in the fridge! Would definitely consider staying again if we would return to the Cotswolds.
