A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Farm Mews, a charming cottage situated on a working farm, with horse stabling available for guests, is perfect for families looking to explore West Yorkshire.

Set on a working farm with pigs, sheep and horses, in the picturesque Shibden Valley, this stone built detached cottage provides a wonderful base to relax and unwind, or be active and explore. There is horse stabling available and a footpath that goes through the farm which takes you to the Calderdale Way and surrounding areas. Across the road in this delightful part of West Yorkshire is the grade II listed Shibden Hall, which provides 79 acres of park and woodland together with beautifully restored gardens and an estate that all forms Shibden Park. It is home to a range of attractions such as a cafe, miniature railway, boating lake and pitch and putt. A new BBC drama series entitled ’Gentleman Jack’ will also be filmed here in 2018.
Stunning countryside walks, bright lights and shopping are within easy reach with Calderdale’s largest town, Halifax, just 1 mile away. You can explore the countryside which is important to the Brontë heritage, and cyclists will find excellent routes in an area featured prominently in the Tour de Yorkshire. A ski slope and snow tubing centre with soft play area is just 1-mile away. Nearby you’ll find the bustling towns and villages of Haworth, 25 minutes, Hebden Bridge, 20 minutes, and Skipton, 50 minutes. The Yorkshire Dales and Peak District National Parks are also close by. Shop 125 yards, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

We loved our stay here and would definitely come back. Our 2.5year old boy loved the horses, sheep and the two sheep dogs. He also loved the tractor and the digger! Ideally located for Eureka children’s museum, Shibden Park and Worth Railway. Thanks to Tom and Family for making us welcome on your Farm.

I booked Farm Mews for a family visit, and it was ideal. The cottage is well decorated and very comfortable, and in a great location opposite Shibden Park. The owners are friendly and helpful. It's a wonderful mix of rural living, but not isolated and very safe and secure. I highly recommend Farm Mews and hope to return soon.
