We had a lovely stay at Farlam Barn. Everything you could think of to make your stay comfortable is within the barn. It was like home from home. Loved the fresh flowers, wine and chocolates. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a lovely meal at the duke of Cumberland, breakfast at the bite cafe, visited hadrians wall and the Roman fort. We visited as a family of 5, we have 3 young children, 1,3 and 5 and all facilities suited our needs.

A cottage in a quiet location with everything you could need for a week away. The living room was spacious and the kitchen, well equipped. The bedrooms are very comfortable with plenty of drawer and wardrobe space. Thanks to the owner for the wine and chocolates which was a very nice surprise. The cottage is convenient for Carlisle, the Tarn, Pennines, Hadrian!s Wall and the Northern Lake District. I would definitely stay here again.

We booked the property for a fishing weekend. The lakes we were fishing were 6 minutes away, and two nice pubs for food both within 6 minutes drive.

We had a fantastic family holiday. None of us wanted to leave. Cottage had everything you would need and the kids were so happy and comfortable. We have family locally to the cottage so it’s the perfect place for us to stay. Would definitely book again. Thank you 😊
