Fair Meadow House is ideal for exploring the Norfolk Coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with its diverse range of geological features.

Fair Meadow House is a three storey, character property in the centre of the popular conservation village of Itteringham. It has been thoughtfully renovated and furnished to provide all you need for a great holiday. Close to the village you will find the National Trust’s Blickling Estate, 4 miles away, which was once home to Anne Boleyn, and Felbrigg Hall, 9 miles, which is situated just outside Cromer with its famous pier and beaches. The north Norfolk coast offers a varied coastline with everything from sand and shingle beaches to marshes and quays for you to explore. The coastal towns of Cromer, Sheringham and Wells are all nearby, and all have their own individual character to discover. The nearby town of Holt offers a high street packed with artisan boutiques, cafés and restaurants, plus you can ride the steam train from here to Sheringham aboard the North Norfolk Railway. The Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections are close by too, and heading in the other direction, you will reach the Norfolk Broads or the city of Norwich. In all, the area is packed with lots to see and do, whether you are exploring in the car, on foot, or by bicycle. After a busy day, you can return to Fair Meadow House to relax and unwind, perhaps in the private garden watching the sun set with a glass of wine, or by one of the wood burners. The village also boasts a community run village shop (adjacent to the house), which is open 7 days, a week, plus a popular gastro-pub which is just a 2-minute walk away. Beach 9 miles. Shop 5 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

Absolutely fantastic stay, the shop next door is ideal. The house was very clean and tidy, nice touches such as additional heaters and fans if they were needed. The house was very suitable for our group and most comfortable. The local pub is also very nice and accommodating.

Enjoyed the holiday and the cottage. Outside tables and bench were a little uncomfortable but facilities inside the cottage were very good.

Idyllic location in a quiet village. Lovely garden with Apple tree, lavender, herbs, vegetable patch, bees and butterflies, with large wooden table with benches and parasol for alfresco meals( delivered during our stay thank you). Next to a friendly community shop and café selling local produce and close to a village pub and public footpaths to a river swimspot. NT Blickling Estate nearby, easy drive to NT Felbrigg hall and onward to beaches at West Runton and Cromer/ Sheringham. Also recommend Ptarmigan seal trips to Blakeney point within 30 min drive and Dinosaur adventure land. Fair meadow house had ample space for our two families of four adults and three 4 year olds. Separate play room. Very well equipped kitchen and spacious utility. Wifi worked well but there is no reliable mobile reception in the village, a landline with honesty box for incoming calls. There were local OS maps and binoculars available for use and a small selection of dvds, books and board games. The main stairs might be challenging for very young children and benefit from a Stairgate. The parking was up a steep narrow gravel path behind the house and had a few potholes which may prove more challenging in inclement weather, though there is a little space at the side of the road near the shop. We all thought Fair Meadow House was superb and hope to return. Thank you.

We had a lovely holiday in this cottage with three generations of our family. It was cosy, full of charm with some very nice modern touches. All the rooms were tastefully decorated and we were very comfortable. The cottage was well stocked with everything we needed for a great week. The kitchen was well equipped and the dining area catered well for our party of seven. The separate lounge for the younger children was a bonus as it gave them their own special place to play games and watch TV. We had a fabulous time and will definitely return in the future.
