Very disappointed with the out door space ( supposedly a garden ) We where not made aware of access through garden for next door or the fact it is the size of a postage stamp so with two labradors we could not spend any time in the garden steps to garden very dangerous aswell as picket fence to prevent fall garden space 1 out of 10 The ad on website very misleading

The window in the attic room can not be opened and it looks like it's been like this since April by the previous reviews in the comments book.the owners supplied a fan and we even had our Owen but the heat was still overpowering . Please get this fixed for the next guests. The wc cistern in the family bathroom needs a new Syphon as it is hard to flush ( yes I am a plumber).

We had a lovely week, the cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. In a lovely location, by the river.

Window in the attic was broken and so could not be opened which meant in the heatwave we were unable to sleep in it. Bathroom could do with an extractor fan and my wife had a little trouble getting in and out of shower because of the steps. Everything else about house and location was good.

Had a great long weekend at Ellers Bank, 3 adults plus dogs. Very nice well equipped house in a fantastic location... loads of varied walks and good pubs nearby. Slight snag in that the garden wasn’t fully enclosed and, despite our best efforts, the dogs strayed into the neighbours gardens a couple of times. We also had difficulty getting consistent hot water in the main shower. Having said that we had a brilliant time and I would recommend the house to others.

More attention to detail is needed when cleaning, particularly in the storage area in loft bedroom and the loft bathroom. Bed linen has seen better days. Some kitchen utensils sticky and baking trays definitely seen better days. Table mats sticky and dirty. The grass needed cutting which made it unpleasant to sit in the garden. No welcome pack so beware if you are arriving late. Stairs are very steep and there is no toilet on ground floor. Steps into front door very steep although it is easier to go in the back door. Designated car parking space was apparently repaired on our last day however there is still a dip on driving into it and there are lots of pot holes. You either have to reverse in or out and along a long narrow road. You cannot see the car from the cottage. There is parking on the road however which is a safer bet. Good information packs available about surrounding areas with places to visit, walks, etc. Good base to visit this beautiful part of the country if the cleaning issues are dealt with, in a lovely little village with lots of local amenities and lovely walks.
