A very well equiped, comfortable house with tasteful decor and a lot of thought put into the additional ammenities. An emergency supply of tea, coffee, milk etc supplied, however there are two local supermarkets within minutes of the property. A good library of DVD's, books, games and local event literature. It really is a gentle stroll into the very centre of York with the Minster, Shambles and Castle area 10- 15 minutes max and the National Railway Museum 5 minutes more. Thoroughly recommended!

This is a very traditional, interesting house in a great, convenient location. We didn't find the bed very comfortable and the bathroom needs updating. However, for a short break it suited our needs and the owner was very helpful. York has so much to offer and the location of the house meant we didn't use the car at all.

Perfect location to main city only 10 minutes walk. Beautiful 2 bed house, main room large bed and second room twin beds. Me and my husband spent 2 weeks here just a nice relaxing getaway from everything. We would definitely stay here again but only thing I would stay is that the place just needs little TLC as it was very dusty in most areas specially behind beds, wardrobe ect...... Landloard was extremely helpful and very welcoming. Thank you for a wonderful stay! ! !

Excellent location, although in our mid seventies it was only 15 mins to the Minster and the Shambles. Large dining room, bedrooms and large lounge. Lots of pictures and objects to look at. Lots of books, CD & videos. Owner very helpful, tea coffee milk & biscuits left for us. Plenty of maps, brochures etc. Very enjoyable week, visited the Deep in Hull, the Aircraft museum and Castle Howard as well all the places in York.
