Great house in a fab location....close to lovely walks in the Forest of Dean, friendly pubs and lots to do without having to go too far!Dog friendly house and very secure garden for them. The beds must be the most comfortable we've had in our stays in holiday houses.

An ideal quiet property, not overlooked and within easy walking distance of the New Inn Pub, which also has a beer garden. Great location for access to walking within the Forest of Dean within a 10 minute walk. Watch out for the wild boar if you have dogs and are in the forest walking in the early morning or late evening. Just be aware and keep them on leads if you are unsure, but don't let that put you off holidaying here. The property itself also has a large secure garden. This made it ideal for our two Spingers, who had the freedom to run about. And the garden being secure and the location free of traffic made it relaxing for both us as we did not have to worry about them. Overall, a good location and I would stay here again.

Lovely cottage well situated close to amenities, short walk to pubs that served good food, small convenient store for papers and every day needs, very quiet, and quite comfortable, large garden with outside seating area, onsite parking. Disappointed that the grass had not been cut and was very long, which made it difficult to clear up after the dog, the gardener turned up the morning that we were leaving. said he could not cut it the week before as it was "raining" but it was hot and sunny when we arrived, raining when we left.

Beautiful location and only 5 mins walk into the forrest. However I did score low on the comfort and equipment mainly due to the sofas being really uncomfotable and definitely in need of replacing and the dining chairs were also very uncomfortable. Also scored low on cleanliness due to little things like dirty light switches, dirty kitchen cupboards, mould in the bathroom and when we opened the draw in the dining table looking for table mats we found a dirty plastic table cloth and lots of crumbs. I think its a shame about these things as the property has tons of potential and like I say is in a beautiful location.

Perfect cottage and perfect host. We have visited twice and it won't be our last visit. Perfect place to just switch off, relax and enjoy the walks in forest of Dean and other beautiful local sceneries. We have a young cocker spaniel and he loves the cottage and the nearby walks. The cottage is well enclosed and we were completely comfortable letting him out in the garden so he could run around for himself.

It was a really nice cottage, everything you could wish for in the kitchen, We found the toilet being downstairs a bit awkward if you put the light on it woke others up, but they did leave us a torch. There is a very nice pub within walking distance which served food. We took logs with us for the log burner, and were very pleased to see logs were provided, as most places just leave you one basket full.

What a lovely cottage. In a quiet lane with off road parking, near a pub and walking distance to a small shop or two. Walking distance to Symonds Yat too! Amazing location. House was cosy-we were fearing the worst with night store heating-and the free fire wood meant that we could have a top up fire. Nice beds and bedding. Kitchen well equipped. Only shortcoming was the lack of WiFi.
