This property is part of our Cottages4you collection

In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

Only 100 yards from the beach, with coastal walks and quiet coves, Seal Sanctuary, Roskilly’s Ice Cream Parlour and Flambards all nearby.

This charming detached cottage is situated just 100 yards from the beach in a pretty and quiet valley location. The property dates back over 200 years and is tastefully furnished to provide comfortable and cosy holiday accommodation. Porthallow is a peaceful, unspoilt fishing village with easy access to the beautiful coves and beaches of the Lizard Peninsula, the UK’s most southerly point. With easy access to explore South and West Cornwall, Porthallow is popular with those seeking a relaxed atmosphere in a traditional quaint village with superb coastal walks, quiet coves and beaches which are within easy reach of the local pub and village square. The pretty shingle beach is still home to a few colourful working fishing boats and at low tide the rock pools provide a natural play area and source of fun for children. The Lizard Peninsula has plenty to keep the whole family entertained; the famous Seal Sanctuary at Gweek, nearby Roskilly’s Ice Cream Parlour and Organic Farm, and Flambards Theme Park at Helston. The picturesque Helford river and creeks are perfect for sailing, fishing or relaxing in one of many great local pubs serving delicious food. The South West Coastal Path runs through the village with dramatic coastal walks in both directions and stunning views across Falmouth Bay. With many ship wrecks dotted along this stretch of coastline, the area is a great destination for divers and there are several local diving schools in the area including one at Porthkerris. The pretty square at St Keverne, just 3 miles, has a good range of shops and two friendly pubs. The historic town of Helston is home to the Flurry Dance and Flora Day in May. The old harbour and town at Porthleven with pubs, cafes, curiosity shops and art galleries dotted along the harbours edge. The busy harbour and marinas of Falmouth, with the National Maritime Museum, Pendennis Castle, water sports, boat trips and wide selection of shops, restaurants and cafes are all just a short drive. With a rugged coast line, hidden coves, wildlife haven and artist paradise, The Lizard Peninsula is a great holiday destination for those seeking a tranquil break. East End Cottage is a great choice for families or friends, sleeping 6 comfortably. Beach 100 yards. Pub 100 yards.

Fantastic cottage that had everything we needed. We loved the location, everything you could need is only a short drive away. The pub and cafe are only a 2 minute walk. Closest shop is about 2 miles drive. We loved the rock climbing on the beach and drove to the other side of the peninsula for body boarding. Fantastic holiday

It's a great house with a nice garden to play in or just relax. The house is clean and very cosy. Tea with cookies waited for us on arrival. So nice!! The surrounding of Porthallow is beautiful. We walked a lot with our dog and children on de coastal pathway and on the public foot pads. when your looking for peace and calm and a stay in a cosy house near the beach this is a good choice!

One of our very best ever! The location was idyllic and we spent a week exploring the beautiful Lizard Peninsula with the bonus of having a delightful cottage to return to each day with an excellent hostelry only minutes from our doorstep! 'Paralla' is a magical place.

Cottage was very warm, well equipped, clean and comfortable. However, it's a pain having to take shower towels as well as beach towels. Can't remember the last time we stayed in a cottage that didn't supply towels. While it's kind of the owners to provide a welcome pack, I felt that this could be slightly more interesting and more typically Cornish than milk, a few tea bags, sachets of instant coffee and a packet of Cadbury's biscuits. However, our dog fared much better and much appreciated his selection of goodies.

A wonderful property and location. The property and location were exactly as described. Some reviews mentioned the parking space is very small, we have a large 4x4 and we parked in the space with no issues. The road down to the village is narrow with passing places but proceed with caution as the locals appear to drive at speed!
