There is a network of footpaths and bridle ways to suit all categories of walker. Stourhead House and Gardens can be reached on foot if you want a day out without the car, however if you wish to venture further afield, the charming town of Shaftesbury with the Iconic Gold Hill is just 10 miles away and is well worth a visit. If a blast of fresh sea air takes your fancy, the world heritage Jurassic Coast is just an hour away and offers some truly spectacular coastal walks. coastal walks.
