Pleasantly surprised to find property had been updated since pictures when we booked.Toilet flush a bit temperamental and mattress topper bit small for bed but stunning views and location more than made up for that. Would definitely recommend and return.

We love Drumlin and have been staying there for over twenty years. However, we have noticed a few things that could be improved upon. The grouting around the bath and basin are in need of redoing, on this occasion we had difficulty in flushing the toilet, the hot tap in the basin is sticking. The kitchen hot tap is painfully slow. Due to covid they have reduced the cutlery to a set of five items ie five knives, forks etc.,which can be very inconvenient. The glass cabinet needs to be restocked. Since covid we have been asked to strip the beds before leaving and so have noticed that the duvets could do with being replaced. The main attraction of this cottage are the magnificent views and although the garden is kept nicely there are some bushes/trees that could be cut back as they are beginning to obscure the view. The garden furniture could do with a bit of attention as they are becoming unsafe. These comments sound very negative but we would like to emphasise that despite these little niggles it is still a wonderful cottage and we will be booking for next year.

Nice, clean cottage in a great location. Hawkshead is a 5 minute walk away with a co-op and other tourist shops. The views from the cottage are fantastic (in all directions!) and the location is convenient for visiting Windermere and Ambleside, and Coniston in the other direction. It's also close to lots of great places for walking.
