Location was good for what we wanted, the Gite is lovely but we found the seating in the lounge uncomfortable and lighting was not good so ended up sat at the table to read most evenings. It looked clean on the surface but after a couple of days we noticed loads of cobwebs and dust everywhere except the kitchen area which was spotless. Quite well equipped only a couple of silly things missing such as an iron and board and clothes airer. There is a bar up the road but nothing else close by. The gite was lovely and peaceful apart from the Roosters who loved to chat but that was charming as were the chickens who were running free and soon learnt to come for food. The owner charges for cleaning and also charged us for heating which we didn't order or want and as it was September should have been included, we turned it right down but just be aware if you don't want it get it turned off by owners.

Spacious enough for 2-3 people but interior was a little dark as unfortunately windows were small and not much sunlight gets in. Although adequately equipped little things were missed such as a hairdryer and a knife suitable for buttering the gorgeous French bread. Also the light over the mirror in the bathroom and the handle to open the dormer window in the bedroom were out of reach to my partner and I (both women). Did manage to work the bathroom light standing on tiptoe and with a hairbrush in hand. The wifi was only available standing outside the door. No connection inside.
