This beautifully renovated croft house, attached to an extension that the owners often live in, lies in the small hamlet of Bernisdale, approximately 7 miles from Portree, the main village on Skye. It boasts wonderful views of the Cuillin Mountains from the kitchen. Guests can enjoy ferry trips to the Outer Hebrides and boat trips to see the seals or the Cuillin Mountains. Good restaurants and craft shops as well as castles to visit. A fantastic holiday retreat. Shop and pub 7 miles, restaurant 1 mile.

    This is our second visit to our old home. Loved being back and have already booked for next year!

    Best equipped cottage visited. Superficially clean on first sight but some areas had not been cleaned for some time. Oven was in a disgusting state, first evening spent cleaning the oven.

    What an excellent place to stay at such a reasonable price. We had three dogs with us, one which has a habit of escaping from gardens and this garden, with its double fence is ideal to leave the dogs in to play. It has a lovely porch area to the front and utility room in the back which is perfect to leave the dogs as they dry down. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with equipment to cook with, and having the washing machine and drier was very helpful after a day out on the mountain. We had a 5 month with us and the owner provided us with cot, bedding and baby bath, as well as a selection of toys. This house is the perfect location, with amazing views in good weather - which we were lucky to have. It’s a wonderful place to stay and ideal for venturing out into the island both north and south. Would certainly recommend and return!

    This was an excellent base for us in Skye. Very good to explore in all directions of the island. The house was clean and had all that we needed. Kitchen can have a few more items, like dishwasher tablets (only 1 was given). Portree is close enough by car. We enjoyed the quiet location very much, with some highland cows for neighbors.
