Just 5 miles away you’ll reach the popular market town of Keswick and all its delights, including great shopping experiences, themed bars and excellent restaurants catering for all tastes. There are plenty of fun things to do including Derwent Pencil Museum, home to the largest pencil in the world and Puzzling Place, a hands on attraction with mind-boggling optical illusions. For a bit of culture, why not visit Theatre By The Lake offering award-winning drama and arts as well as a delightful café and lakeside location. Speaking of lakes, you are just 7 miles from Derwent Water and 8 miles from Thirlmere, two of the largest lakes and can boast some of the most stunning scenery around these parts. Whether you want gentle walks, challenging climbs for rugged adventure or you just want to relax and take in the countryside, you can have it all at Grajo Cottage.
