The cottage was very spacious but also very dirty the shower leaked through the ceiling into the kitchen and tap on bathroom sink leaked into a dish behind the pedestal the owner said she knew about it but it was only intermittent but it happened everytime you used shower. The kitchen was dirty opened oven and I wouldn 't use it , it was filthy and the trays provided to cook food on was only fit for the bucket. The cottage would be fantastic if it was clean and shower and taps sorted.

After looking for somewhere to stay whilst working away, and spending lots of time in hotels. I noticed Dock Road whilst searching and was surprised to see the price was around the same as hotels near by. Being Vegan I always struggle to find hotels that can provide me with food I can eat, so being able to cook my own food was a massive plus. The kitchen was well equipped for cooked although some of the utensils needed cleaning before use. The cottage was very spacious and the bedrooms and bathroom very clean. The living space could have been cleaner as lots of crumbs and old food on the carpets and under the sofas. Very close to a local Asda and other shops, so nipping out to pick up anything was easy. Overall I had a very good experience at Dock Road. The minor cleanliness issue twinned with the heating not being on for my arrival which left the house very cold for the first night, are the only issues I have. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location for local amenities and access to coastal walks/cycling but somewhat noisy at times eg very early mornings due to docks being across the road. However, the cottage was very comfortable and great value for money and the person to contact very helpful and friendly. A nice friendly town to stay in with historic interest.
