Great location for a weekend break, fabulous walks with our little dog. It was so hot we spent all our time on the patio enjoying the peace and the stunning views. Thank you Sally for making us feel so welcome

Excellent views from cottage. Sally is very welcoming and helpful, Wi Fi did not work at the weekend but soon fixed by Monday. Plenty to see and do around the area. The cottage was very peaceful no one around! The entrance to the lane can easily be missed look out for the Spa, the lane is just next to it.

We are a busy couple with a dog so it was lovely to relax here. Stunning surroundings with the forest of dean and river wye on our doorstep. Despite there not being an enclosed garden, the cottage is in a remote setting so it was possible for our dog to wander around under some supervision. We were a bit lucky that the horses in the field directly opposite the property were away for the week because our dog might have found their presence unsettling. We made full use of the facilities including the bbq and dishwasher. Bedroom and bathroom were very good and cottage was clean throughout. Goodrich Hosterlie is a particularly nice pub for food and dog friendly. Goodrich Castle is well worth a visit. Hillside brewery near ross on wye for locally brewed beer. We would happily return.

We had a lovely time staying here. The cottage was well located and equipped for all our needs. My only minor area forimprovement would be that the linens in the property smelled a bit smokey, but this is a small complaint. We would recommend it and stay here again.

Fantastic Cottage! We booked this last minute to get away for a long weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday and being so last minute we were not sure what to expect. We were really pleasantly surprised, the Cottage is warm and cosy, very bright and really nicely refurbished inside. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed to hand. There was little to no signal for mobile phones and no Wi-Fi at the property which was for us a bonus (I guess that may not suit everyone though) as it was nice to completely shut off from our busy jobs and life for a few days. The cottage is a little tricky to find and I would definitely recommend arriving in the daylight but it is well worth finding. The views are fantastic from the property and it gives you a feeling of remoteness and yet you are not far from a local pub and there are other properties nearby. We were really happy with our stay and would definitely stay again. If I was to find one negative about the property it would be that it would be nice if the sofa was slightly larger. The cottage is only for two people and there is a two person sofa in the lounge area, however, there is plenty of space in the open plan layout for a slightly larger sofa or a small modern corner sofa which would compliment the room and also make it even more relaxing in the evenings to stretch out. The current sofa is certainly not anything to complain about as it is perfectly adequate but a larger sofa would, I feel, enhance the whole relaxing experience.

This cottage would benefit greatly by the addition of an armchair

Beautiful cottage equipped with everything you need. Great welcome from Sally the owner. Scenery from the patio was beautiful. Within easy reach of Ross on Wye and Monmouth and about Twenty miles from Abergavenny, Worcester and Cheltenham all worth a visit.

Comfortable and very clean cottage. Ideal location for local walking routes and the Wye Valley Way. Very pleasant owner, helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Nice little patio with views across the valley. Pubs within walking distance but I don't think there were any shops close by. Welcome pack of tea/coffee, milk and some homebaking was a nice touch.
