The cottage is in a great location sitting up on a hill overlooking Carbost and the loch. Ideal location for exploring Skye, with Portree and Broadford within easy driving distance. The cottage itself has everything you need although some of the items need updated for example the toaster. The cottage was what you would call basically clean with the bedroom, living room and bathrooms all clean but it could do with a more detailed spring clean, but this did not spoil our stay. The Oyster Shed which is just up from the cottage is worth a visit and we did not hear any noise from it at all, and it was quite busy.

This views from the cottage were lovely. The cottage it self was in need of updating, all the furnishings looked very tired, and the photo taken must have been taken years ago .The cottage was not very private as You are next to an oyster/ fish food outlet which was open most days not so smelly in sept but could be a problem in the summer,a very disappointing stay

The cottage was well equipped but the furniture was tired, the bed creaked with every movement and the mattress was very uncomfortable, the two seater couch was so old that the leather was threadbare and the outdoor furniture had broken slats. The access to the property was awkward as you had to drive through the small, busy car park to the Oyster Shed onto a very steep driveway with a very sharp turn at the bottom of it. The views from the property were lovely and the surroundings were peaceful and quiet despite the Oyster Shed being yards away.

Turned up to Distillery cottage to be met with wonderful views over the Loch and Black Cuilins. The cottage itself was welcoming and had everything required for a weeks stay. The local pub does really good food and are very welcoming for humans and dogs alike. We had fabulous weather and the scenery was breath taking.

Fantastic views from the front room & decking. Owners are friendly & helpful, the cottage is on a working croft which is nice to see. The cottage is very comfortable & quiet. Would happily recommend.
