As the cottage is a barn conversion there are slanted ceilings throughout so be careful, especially if you are tall. We hit our heads a few times! Nevertheless we can highly recommend it.

Great cottage, well equipped kitchen with great views. The cottage was well located for walks on the Downs and a good walk from the cottage to Stansted Park. The cottage was warm and clean and plenty of space to park - a real home from home!

Very comfortable and welcoming; we really struck gold with this one! The cottage had just about everything you would want and more that we hadn't even thought of. Sarah and Bruce were very welcoming whilst also making sure we felt the cottage was ours for the time we were there. It was a real bonus to be able to sit on the balcony and enjoy looking out over the fields and woods. Although the cottage was outside the village so you couldn't just walk to a local pub, for example, it was a very easy 20 minute drive to Portsmouth Park and Ride which was brilliant for Portsmouth and all it has to offer. Rowlands Castle is about a five minute drive away and has facilities such as a pubs, shops, post office, vet, and pharmacy. Rowlands Castle station is a stop for trains to London and Portsmouth.

Diddybones barn was clean and comfortable ... It is in the eves of the garage so my husband did hit his head several times and took a bit of getting used to. The dogs loved it but you have to walk along the road outside with no pavement to exercise them which is not ideal although there were some lovely walks once you get in the fields. Lots to do close by .... If your going to be out and about most of the time its a good base ... The balcony is good for the adults not so good for the dogs ... Its a shame it hasn't got a bit of allocated garden as this would make it easier with dogs but overall a lovely relaxing holiday and owners very accommodating ...
