Description

This is a great base for families wishing to discover the delights of Pembrokeshire. There are many castles, beaches and other attractions to visit.

Dial Cottage is a mid-terraced property set within the heart of the picturesque hamlet of Lamphey and on the doorstep to some of the most scenic areas of Pembrokeshire. Enjoy a walk through the village and discover the historic medieval Bishops’ Palace which was once the chosen retreat of bishops of St David’s Cathedral seeking solace, now full of history to uncover. Within the quaint hamlet of Lamphey you can enjoy a walk to the enclosed play park, great for the children to let off steam. Enjoy home cooked food and some local ale in the Dial Inn, or catch the train to the famous walled town of Tenby with its truly stunning award-winning beach.
Dial Cottage has been thoughtfully furnished to a good standard, boasting a contemporary galley-style kitchen and an open-plan living/dining room for social evenings with family or friends. On the first floor, both bedrooms have been lovingly finished offering the perfect space to relax in after a busy day sightseeing. Off-road electric vehicle (EV) charge points (type 2, 7kW untethered and also 13A) are also available for exclusive use of guests.
Dial Cottage is the perfect location to discover the sublime Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, with the path itself within 2 miles of your doorstep. There is a host of local attractions for the family with the award-winning Folly Farm, Oakwood Theme Park and Manor House Wildlife Park within 30 minutes.
For keen golfers there is the 18-hole links course in Tenby where you can enjoy a round amongst the sand dunes, or maybe a stroll around the town. You can also take a boat trip from Tenby to the tranquillity that is found at Caldey Island, where Cistercian monks welcome islanders to share the delights of their island throughout the summer. Shop 500 yards, pub and restaurant 10 yards.

    Dial Cottage was well presented and spotlessly clean on our arrival. It is a good location for exploring the locality with many beaches and other attractions close by. The owners were very helpful without being intrusive and a lovely welcome package awaited our arrival ie tea, coffee, sugar, eggs, milk, bread and a delicious Barra Breith.

    Comfortable,well equipped cottage.Everything you could possibly need has been thought of including wide range of toys and books.Welcome pack of tea coffee milk etc very handy.kitchen very well equipped.There is no garden but we managed quite easily with our dog who was also made welcome.Nice village location with easy parking outside.

    The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful, even checking in with us the following day to ensure everything was ok. They provided a complimentary welcome pack of tea and coffee, bread, milk, eggs, butter and even a lovely fruit cake. Dial cottage was spotless and extremely well equipped, even down to beach towels! The local shop had everything we needed and was close by. The local beach was stunning and we visited several times, even in the evening. We have two kids and it is smashing location for families, with much to see and do within a short drive. Thoroughly recommend both the cottage and location. Would definitely visit again.

    We had a great week at Dial Cottage. The cottage is superbly appointed with everything you could want. The owners, who live next door, are very friendly and clearly want you to enjoy your holiday. The location is lovely and quiet and is within easy reach of Pembroke, Tenby and some of the best beaches around.

    A very well-appointed and clean cottage. The owners were extremely welcoming and helpful. Handily located next to a fabulous pub too, which is a bonus!

    Fantastic!! - I can not add too much more. OK, I will then! From the contact from Kevin prior to our arrival asking what type of bread we wanted left for us in the welcome package and being met upon arrival. Trish showed us the cottage and checked in on us a couple of days later to see if everything was OK. Everything was spotless, comfortable and everything, I mean everything!!! you could possibly need. Little touches like torches in the bedside cupboards to beach chairs, every accessory possible in the kitchen, were a lovely touch and very well thought of by the owners. The information supplied for local walks for the dog, to the short cut to the shops were added little touches that made this holiday absolutely perfect, relaxing and comfortable. I would highly recommend this cottage and the owners. The only downside is the downstairs bathroom but that did not affect us at all. If you are thinking of visiting this area then look to see if this is available. Walk down the lane to Lamphey Palace (where you can walk the dog) and you will met with a superb little find. We will return and we will recommend this cottage to everyone we speak to. Thank you Kevin and Trish. I will end with the word Fantastic!!

    One of the reasons we picked this cottage was the EV charging point but it had far more advantages than that. We were ideally situated for touring the area and Kevin and Trish bent over backwards to give us information on the area. Would certainly visit this area again
