With private access to the waterfront, mooring and a rowing boat included (arrange with owner), this property offers a most welcome introduction to the Norfolk Broads.

Daydream is a charmingly thatched riverside holiday home that provides luxury waterside accommodation on the River Bure. Situated in the heart of the Norfolk Broads, the detached property offers a decked area with a lawn which leads to the water’s edge, perfect for relaxing and watching the world go by. Guests can use the rowing boat/mooring available to the front of the property, and having your own water frontage means that fishing is literally on your doorstep (seasonal, licence required).

This is an ideal location from which to explore the popular villages of the Norfolk Broads, such as Horning; a picturesque Broads village with riverside inns, restaurants, a selection of small shops and tea shops.
Ideal for children, BeWILDerwood is just a few minutes away, with 50 acres of wild and imaginative outdoor adventure park to explore. There’s also Wroxham Barns and Craft Centre within driving distance.

Wroxham, known as the ‘capital of the Broads’, is just 4 miles away, with its selection of waterside cafés. Once you have explored the Broads, the sandy beaches of the Norfolk Coast are just 11 miles away, and there’s a wide range of coastal villages to explore. National Trust properties in the region include Blickling Hall, Felbrigg Hall and Gardens, Horsey Windpump and Sheringham Park. Alternatively, spend a day in the city of Norwich, 9 miles, with its cathedral, museums, theatres and a vast array of cafés and shops. The cottage was great apart from the water pump which came on randomly during the night and was located directly behind the ground floor bedroom which made it impossible to sleep. We ended up turning it off at night and switching it back on in the morning which was a problem if anyone wanted to use the loo during the night!! Also the power went out and we discovered that it was due to a kettle that was faulty, this had been left in the kitchen despite there already being a new kettle to use which we hadn't realised. Finally the outside could do with a really good hosedown as it was covered in cobwebs.

Disappointing. Boiler not working on arrival. Shower "unsuitable for people over 16 stone" only stated on arrival, not in details of house. Blinds in main bedroom broken and so light that sleep not possible after 4:30 a.m. Some equipment in need of replacement. Area around mooring overgrown making it inaccessible. House in need of some attention, perhaps not surprising as it appears to have been sold by present owners. Not up to expected standards.

Really loved cottage. Great waterside location and good fishing. Would go again. But take Wellington boots as water level is high at drive way at times.

fantastic location peaceful and relaxing property was comfortable and clean few too many spiders outside for me but riverside and countryside so to be expected plenty of other wildlife to see which added to the enjoyment and tranquil surroundings
