my husband, myself and our little dog had a lovely relaxing week at Dale house farm cottage. The surrounding area has lots of places to visit and some great walking .It is one of the best equipped and clean cottages we have stayed in and we felt very welcome . we would definitely return.

Very comfortable, lovely bed, although only a 4ft 6" bed. Cooker was dated & only used to cook porridge. Decided to eat out instead! Access path from parking to front door was 'tricky'! Lack of light & slippery due to being on a slope. Kitchen units all below waist height. Owner stated he is going to update kitchen imminently. Central heating controlled by owner, which was adequate, but had to use electric fan stove every day. We did stay late November to mid December. Lovely modern bathroom & lovely views, especially from the bedroom. Lovely quiet location.

This is a wonderful place to enjoy a taste of country living, but has all the comforts that anyone could wish for. There are endless walks and beautiful views to take in and if you are happy to travel a little , the area around Castleton is stunning. Mam Tor , and Winnat's Pass and some of the old caverns and mines should not be missed.
