Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Concerns about being able to unlock and lock the front door. The neighbours and the traffic early mornings were noisy. The farmer decided to make a bonfire near to the cottage so instead of being in the garden we had to go indoors.

Dalar Deg is a quiet, delightful cottage, with lovely countryside surroundings. It is very clean and cosy and decorated beautifully. Everything you need is there. It is easy to find and in a good location. There is a shop close by which came in handy and Betws y Coed is a short drive away. We loved The Riverside Chocolate House, which is close to the cottage, and a visit there is a must! The spa bath was a massive bonus and the WiFi and phone reception is excellent. The owner, Reg, could not have been more pleasant, helpful and generous. He left lots of little extras to make our stay even more special, including fresh flowers. He is very thoughtful and he clearly wants his guests to feel very welcome and at home. He does not intrude on your holiday at all (something which I really appreciate when staying in quiet, countryside cottages) but you know that he is on the other end of the phone if you need him for anything at all. The week passed by far too quickly but it still felt so strange coming home again, as though we had been away for so long. You settle into Dalar Deg straight away and feel sad to have to leave, not just the beautiful cottage, but such a breathtaking part of the world. My family and I all agree we would definitely stay at Dalar Deg again.

A beautifully appointed and comfortable cottage. Reg was gracious and extremely helpful from start to finish. The cottage is in a fantastic location, just a short drive from the main road giving access to all of Snowdonia. The neighbours are very friendly as well and the village is a short distance away.

Spent the most relaxing week here at Dalar Deg! We were snowed in for a day or 2 so had no choice but to enjoy the beautiful open fire in the most comfortable and picturesque setting. The cottage was immaculatly clean when we got there and the owner provided welcome pack including fresh flowers and a good bottle of wine, very welcomed! It was clear this cottage is very much loved and cared for and a lot of effort has been put in to ensuring people have a holiday without having to think about the basics. The kitchen had everything you have in your own kitchen so no worrying about the tin opener or the bottle opener! The electric cooker is very easy to use, surprisingly I didnt burn a thing despite being used to gas. Overall this place was an absolute great find and I would recommend to anyone wanting to really get away! The owner Reg was very helpful and quickly answered any queries we had, but nothing went wrong while we were there, it was blissful! My only complaint was neither pub was open when we passed?

We had a fantastic week at Reg the owner was so helpful he made sure that the cottage was warm before we got there by putting the heating on. The little extras where lovely the wine and the flowers and the milk and tea and coffee. This is the best cottage we have stayed in.

Enjoyed the stay at Dalar deg even on one of the most extreme weeks on record.stuck in for two days of stay.cottage is stayed as enclosed but not round the back no gate on the archway and broken down side of cottage so had to watch dogs at all times. The front room would benefit from a three seater sofa.As for the cottage described as attached the neighbour across the drive parked on the drive to the cottage on many days.there is also only one radiator downstairs. The front garden gate was rusty at bottom so dogs were trying to squeeze through. The single bed was also uncomfortable.on the upside cottage was very clean and good wi fi signal.did leave a day early to the severity of the weather -7 at its worse.owner was very helpful.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry the cottage didn’t meet your all your expectations. The back gate had blown off in due to the severe weather and has now been replaced. The Agency Terms and Conditions state ‘You must not leave any pets unattended in the property, including any garden, and you must keep dogs on a lead within the boundaries of a property (including the garden)’. We feel the seating is adequate for the cottage. The neighbours parked once on the drive, once they knew there were guests, they removed the car. There is space for four cars on the drive so shouldn’t have been as issue. There is only one radiator as the downstairs benefits from underfloor heating, we provided you with 2 heaters and extra logs and the average temperature was around 24 degrees for the duration of your stay.

Wonderful relaxing trip, amazing hospitality from Ray and Tess, every little detail was catered for. Warm homely , perfect place to relax but also so many things to do locally. Fires amazing, dog friendly but care for sheep obviously required for responsible owners. Short walk to local pub, could drive to all sorts of interesting places. Would love to come again, maybe in the summer when the days are longer next time. Old fashioned charm but with all the modern cons relax and enjoy. I had not expected the spa bath btw

The cottage was very well equipped and everything was nice and clean as well as welcoming. It was a quiet location so we had to drive everywhere but there were a lot of amenities within easy reach by car.
