Cyprus Well was once the home of one of the 20th century’s finest poets, Cornish born Charles Causley for 50 years. He bought it in 1952 to share with his widowed mother and continued to live there after she died in 1971. This terraced cottage, now owned by the Charles Causley Trust, is preserved very much as it was when he resided here, including original furniture and his writers study. Now, it is open for stays throughout the year for holiday guests who are interested in the history and art preserved here, or looking for a quiet, creative space. The property is also a creative hub for artist residencies and workshops and is open for tours at certain times throughout the year.
