Cynlas is a beautiful traditional cosy welsh cottage which is just what we were looking for, it even had a window seat for the odd cwtch! An unexpected downturn in the blistering summer up to that point provided the perfect excuse and bonus of being able to take advantage of the open fireplace. Being homely sorts we cooked most evenings and the kitchen provided everything that we needed and the local Spar was very convenient. We thought the little book collection was a nice touch and we also took advantage of the board games in the evening.

Returning to Cynlas after a day of non-stop rain and strong winds is always a nice thing to do. I hope to one day find out that it’s just as nice on a summer’s day in the sunshine, sipping Pimms in the garden. If you want to stay in the best bit (Y Gwydyr pub 2 minutes’ walk) of the best village (mountains, river and castle all handy) then Cynlas is pretty good.

Me and my partner would recommend Cynlas cottage to anyone as a lovley holiday destination. It's warm and inviting. A home from home comfort with its open fire. To all of its local views that are stunning. Will go back for next holiday in wales. All I would say is there should be an option when you book to have more open fire fuel included if you want it.
