This property is part of our Cottages4you collection

In superb locations and beautiful settings. Cottages4you gives you a fantastic range of hand-picked properties with quality you can rely on.

Dating back to the 15th century, Cymmo Farm occupies a stunning position in its very own 100-acre valley.

The detached property is completely isolated in a sunny south facing position and offers nothing but peace and tranquillity with no intrusive rail, road or plane noises, just the delicate sounds of the surrounding local countryside. Renovated with complete sympathy retaining many original features such as beams, open fireplaces and wood flooring, the property now offers very good quality holiday accommodation. It has two separate living rooms and a large kitchen with a conservatory/dining/sitting area. There are three TVs, each with a DVD player, and digital radios in every bedroom.
Despite its wonderful location, Cymmo is only 4 miles from the bustling town of Llangollen, famous for its Eisteddfods and year round festivals. It also offers some top restaurants, bars and coffee shops, some unique craft outlets and for the more adventurous it is host to a number of water sports from white water rafting to canoeing. Younger guests often enjoy the trips on horse drawn barges along the canal and rides on the local steam train. From this point the whole of the Snowdonia National Park is easily accessible. Ideal for golf. Shops 4 miles, pub ½ mile.

A lovely cottage full of character in beautiful surroundings. Very quiet and relaxing, out in the country, but only 4 miles for food shops etc. Need transport. Excellent for walking.

Absolutely fabulous if you want to spend some time completely away from it all. Cymmo is about 3 miles from the centre of Llangollen but it feels like it is in another world. One evening, we went to the Sun Inn and had a great time in this very small but friendly pub that is about 10 minutes walk from Cymmo. If you want to hike, take in Llangollen and its surrounding areas but also want a little solitude, this is the place to stay. There are no close by facilities but in our view that was a big plus.

This was our 4th visit to Cymmo as all of my family love the house, location and we have many happy memories from our visits. However, we now feel we would not book again for the following reasons. Having noted on visit number two that some of the soft furnishings, furniture and kitchen equipment needed replacing, it is with dismay on visit four that nothing has been updated or replaced. Examples of this are: Mismatched and chipped mugs, cracked plates, kitchen utensils broke, large kitchen drawers with broken runners and unable to open, fridge door with broken door trays, most table lamps with broken and damaged shades, sofas in all rooms need to be replaced, kitchen chairs rickety and unsafe, all pillows in bedrooms of poor quality.... I could go on. The cleanliness was also not up to standard with cobwebs throughout the property, dusty skirting boards and all log burners needed cleaning before we could use. I would happily return if I knew there had been some investment in the house, but sadly feel in its current state I would not.

Cymmo was the perfect location for our family celebration. There was plenty of room for 14 people, spanning three generations, inside in the cosy accommodation and outside in the hills. The sunrise from the conservatory window was stunning.
