Bedrooms far too small sofa in front room inadequate for 4 adults Not a good cottage to rent if you want comfort

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We were a little shocked to read your negative review especially as no comments were left in the visitor book. Cwm Yr Afon is a traditional quarryman’s cottage as described within the property description. The lounge has a leather 3 seater sofa and leather easy chair. The bedrooms are compact as seen in the pictures on the website. Maybe for your party of 4 Adults, 1 Infant and 2 pets, a larger, more expensive property would have been better suited to your needs. As Owners, we work hard to make our business a success and we are proud of what we have achieved over the years. As per the Booking Terms & Conditions, guests are asked to keep the property clean and tidy, and to leave the property in a similar condition as found upon arrival. We do ask that the Terms & Conditions are adhered too; sadly on this occasion, they were not.

Amazing scenery and views from the village. Cottage very basic and old fashioned but fine for a week. Double bedroom extremely small with barely any room either side to get out of bed. Garden not secure if you have a small dog, my dachshund could step through gap next to the gate, luckily he came straight back. Pub and tea room both lovely and lots of walks from the door which is great.

The cottage was well appointed and comfortable with an excellent pub within 100m, though a trip to Beddgelert was necessary for shops. The drawback was having to park on an A-road; finding a parking space was pot luck.
