A well appointed cottage, clean and tidy with a welcoming bottle of wine and carton of milk. Basically a one up one down with a well fitted shower room. The 'shabby chic' was overdone a little in places! Well laid out kitchen facilities considering the space, including built in freezer and dishwasher. Reasonably comfortable throughout. Lack of outdoor space, view, wifi and most importantly parking big negatives for us. We ended up buying a weekly ticket for the beach car park (£15), which was very busy during most of the days. Considering similar properties with parking, wifi and perhaps a view are similarly priced this cottage seemed a bit expensive. If you are mainly walking locally or using the Costhopper bus service this cottage may suit well - it is a pleasant quiet hideaway - but if you are using your car daily it is much less convenient.

The cottage is very pretty and in a quiet area, just a couple of suggestions: This is not just for Crows Nest but all properties in this loke. There needs to be a light sensor as you enter the passage off the road, it is extremely dark particularly as Blakeney High St also has no street lights. The outside lights from the cottages are not sufficient to be able to see your way through to the cottages at the end of the loke. In terms of the Crows Nest, an better understanding of how the heating works would be good, the manufacturer instructions is not what I would expect to read through on a cold February night when you first arrive and need some heat. We used the fire but throughout the time we were there we could get see how the radiators worked and never noticed them come on. Instructions need to be simple steps.

Fab cottage, great location! Central position for Norfolk coast; excellent place to stay to avoid work calls! Car parking a nightmare, remember if you are a National Trust member some car parks are free (Morston Quey & Blakeney Quey)

Crows nest is a lovely cottage. Very central for all Blakeney has to offer. The only negative is no parking outside, but there is free parking at langham road if you dont mind the walk.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- We're pleased you liked the cottage. There are a few places to park in Blakeney on the quayside, up the High Street and jotted about but yes, given that the cottage is down a little 'loke' makes it nice and quiet but no parking right outside.

We really enjoyed our stay at the crows nest very clean nice location one downside was that you could not open the lounge window for more air as we could not leave the door open due to having our dog and she could get into the road from the entry.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- Thanks for letting us know about the living room window, we will definitely look into this as it should be able to open easily. In the meantime we are pleased that you had a great stay in the cottage and enjoyed your time in Norfolk.

Great cottage , location perfect, good dog walks, would definitely stay again , the bed was uncomfortable but maybe that's just our opinion . Enjoy

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner:- Good to hear that you enjoyed your holiday. We haven't heard reports about the bed before but apologise for any inconvenience that it might have caused. We're pleased that you and your doggies enjoyed their walks, we think it is a lovely spot for some of Norfolk's best walks. If you do come back to stay then please ask the company to give us the heads up and we will do whatever we can to make sure that the bed is comfy for you.
