This is the second time we've stayed at Grafham Water Caravan Site, but the first in Cromwell Cottage. The site is lovely; very quiet but with a little shop for any little emergencies. The cottage is spacious and very charming, with a cosy sitting room, good kitchen diner and two good sized bedrooms. The large upstairs sitting area with TV was especially appreciated by our teenage son, as was the strong wi-fi signal! Grafham Water is a beautiful place for a walk around the reservoir, and there is a curry house within walking distance which we would thoroughly recommend, as well as a good pub not too far away. The only slight downside was not having a shower - there is a shower attachment on the bath, but not enough height for an adult to stand up straight to use it. But that's a minor point; there was loads of hot water; the central heating was great when needed, and having a toilet upstairs and downstairs was a bonus.

Lovely location, nice and quiet site and cosy feel to the cottage. Friendly and helpful staff. Massive spider issue and beetle problem....probably due to the old beams etc, but surely something could be done? We spent 45minutes hoovering on arrival. Would have been nice to have another towel each, hand wash in bathrooms, a shower, basic extras in a welcome pack on arrival. Needs a little bit of TLC- garden gate wouldn’t shut, outdoor chairs needed cleaning, no cleaning products (brush) and remote backs broken. Info folder needs improving. Despite the few issues we did have a nice stay as it’s a good base for getting around the area and the kitchen is well equipped. Contradictory information on booking form with arrivals time etc. Pool is still on pictures even though it doesn’t exist anymore!
