Located just minutes’ from Burnham-on-Sea on the Somerset coast and within easy reach of the Somerset Levels and attractions such as Cheddar Gorge.

These single-storey, detached holiday cottages (Ref UKC1559 and W42922) are located just minutes from Burnham on sea’s 7 mile stretch of sandy beach. This is an ideal place to walk your dogs in an unspoilt area of dunes. The cottages are perfectly located for a visit to the spectacular scenery of nearby Cheddar Gorge where Channel 4 made a documentary (aired in 2017) about the 10,000 year old man who was found amongst its famous caves. Not far from this area is also the Wookey Hole Caves and the famous paper making mill, all of which sit quietly within the beauty of the Mendip hills. The ancient town of Wells with its magnificent cathedral is a 30-minute drive away and offers you stunning architecture and over 500 years of history. Together with the town of Glastonbury famous for its monastery, music festivals and holistic spiritual qualities, this is a relaxing area for your holiday. The Apex Park in Highbridge also offers a dog friendly walk around a lake whilst watching the local wildlife. The holiday cottages are within a small complex of four one bedroomed cottages, all of which have access to a small paddock to allow you to walk your dogs first thing in the morning and last thing at night without leaving the site. There are three dog friendly pubs all within 2 miles of the cottages, and supermarkets are only a 5 minutes’ drive away. The owners live on-site and are available at all times. Beach 2 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 600 yards.

Lovely place to stay would definitely stay there again everything you need is there, the snug outside was lovely to sit and relax of an evening owners were very helpful and friendly. The only down side was it is on a busy road so you get the traffic noise.

We had a wonderful mid week stay at Croft cottages, definitely will be returning. The cottage was so comfortable, the owners very welcoming and helpful as it was our first time to the area. We had our dog with us and the grounds were perfect to allow her short walks but with miles of beautiful sandy beaches nearby she was a very happy mutt...!

A wonderful holiday in this most enjoyable cottage. It began with a designated parking space, a goldfish pond, outdoor seating and a covered seating area complete with stove! Our "cottage", Robins Nest, was spotlessly clean and furnished with everything we might need. A very spacious living area with two sofas and plenty of cupboard and drawer space and a reasonably sized tv. Comfy twin beds ( pushed together) and a separate area with wardrobe and more drawer space. The bathroom/toilet area is at the opposite end of the living room to the bedroom and at first I was concerned as I use crutches, but in the end it wasn't a problem as there is plenty of space to get through. Very easy to get to from the motorway and well positioned to visit the local area, Burnham on Sea, Weston super Mare, Cheddar Gorge, Wells, Glastonbury etc. There are other properties available and this would make for an excellent family get together. Unfortunately no guest book to leave our comments and thanks for a brilliant holiday.
