Rock hard bed so hard we couldn't stay. No towels Hugely overpriced. Would be a squash for 5 or more. In fact if there are 6 of you you have to fetch the chair from the bedroom. Swimming pool is not a proper brick building and you have to roll back the cover before and after every swim. Watchet is a dump.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are disappointed to read your feedback following your stay at Croft Cottages. We made extensive arrangements to facilitate key collection for your late arrival on Monday at 10am however by 5pm, the key to the property was found posted through the reception area door with no explanatory note or clue as to why. We managed to contact you the next day as we wanted to determine the strange situation. We were informed that the bed was hard but the bed had never been slept in? It transpired that just two of your party had arrived and been in the cottage. There are four more beds in this cottage. Had you informed us of your concerns over the bed, we would have arranged to swap the mattress for a new one out of storage. Mattress firmness/softness is a personal choice/preference and we think we hit it in the middle with the ones we use. It is clearly highlighted that we do not ordinarily supply personal towels but that they are available for hire. A request for towel hire was not specified. The indoor heated swimming pool does not require to be situated inside a “brick” building. It is very easy to use the pool cover and is normal practice in many pools to maintain a constant temperature for all. Many of our guests really enjoy using the swimming pool. Whilst we realise that the Cottage will not be for everyone, we are sad that there are no positive points in your review and are genuinely disappointed to receive such a low score which is not really consistent with our usual feedback.

We loved our holiday at Lindhay 4. The cottage was exceptionally clean and well equipped. Great to have swimming pool too. The location in a quiet area of the town centre was ideal. Plenty of shops and cafes to explore as well as the beach, steam railway, park. The only negative was the master bed was so hard it was like sleeping on concrete. Also the internet access was very patchy but we were warned clearly upon booking so we can't really complain. We only had 4 of us so cottage size was great, I think it would've been a squeeze with 6 people.

Ideally situated for local amenities with a choice of takeaways and eateries, close to beach and steam railway. Watchet has to be one of the most dog-friendly places on earth! The owners were very friendly and helpful. The pool was the perfect size for the complex and never overcrowded and ideal to unwind early evening.
