A beautiful spacious and clean property in the perfect location for visiting Aberfeldy, Kenmore, Pitlochry and Dunkeld. Only negative is that there is no WiFi but you do get a 4G mobile signal.

This was our third visit to Craig Eilid. Lovely, warm and comfortable cottage, perfect for us as it is in walking distance to the rapids at Grandtully. Hopefully we will be back next year.

Craig Eilid was exactly what we were looking for - a remote cottage in a picturesque location. Despite some initial problems getting the keys for the property (where the owners were very helpful), we had a wonderful time. Please be aware there is no wi-fi at the property and we did not get a 3 mobile phone signal inside. However this is exactly what we wanted. It gave us a chance to truly get away from it all!! The only suggestions I would make, is that the double bed is very soft, while I tend to prefer a firmer matress, which made it a little uncomfortable. In Grandtully there is a great restaurant, The Inn on the Tay, but for almost everything else you will need to take the car (or bus) into Aberfeldy. The Scotmid there has almost everything you could need. It also has a great garden for children or dogs as it is fully enclosed. Our puppy loved running around in it and playing frisbee. There is also a nice picnic table which will be great in the warmer weather.

I really enjoyed the break away. My grandson took his fishing rod not that he was going to catch any fish just the fun of trying. This was not to be as we didn't have a permit. I would very much like to go back now that I know Aberfeldy wasn't that far away. The cottage was all that was aged and more.
