Newquay with its excellent beaches is approximately 4 miles away, whilst the cathedral city of Truro with its museum, theatre, restaurants and shops can be easily reached. Golf, fishing, horse riding and tennis are all available locally and there is a 13th century inn just a short walk away. Shops and restaurant 1 mile, pub 300 yards.

    This annexe to the main house is comfortable and compact. We would have preferred a double bed but each of the two singles had a double size duvet. The carefully designed gardens are delightful and we had much pleasure watching birds using two well-supplied feeders. The own3rs, Helen an£ Davi£, presented us with a Cornishcream tea on arrival and did every5hing they could to ensure we were comfortable. There is a very poor internet signal (best in bedroom) and you have to get to the top of the hill to use a mobile phone. The electric oven is on the hot side and I would recommend 160 for 180. Access to the surfing beach is through dunes. There is a Morrison’s there on the outskirts of nearby Newquay. Locally, I recommend a visit to National Trust property, the Elizabethan home o& the Arundel family. Excellent interpretation by really knowledgable guides. There was a presentation on weapons the day we were there. Children can try on armour. If you enjoy churches there are some splendid carved Norman fonts at Bodmin, St Newlina at East Newlyn and St Enoder. We were also lucky to find a lunchtime concert in Truro cathedral. Eden Projct also very impressive, nestled into a China clay moonscape near St Austell.

    Our hosts were brilliant giving useful advice for making the most of our holiday- nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation was spotless with everything we hoped for and more with some thoughtful extras including a welcoming cream tea. We slept very well in the peaceful surroundings and were entertained by the birds in the sunny garden. Good central location for exploring the rest of the county with most places being around an hour away max. Holywell itself is small and quiet but has a good pub and a beautiful expansive sandy beach to relax and enjoy.

    Good location for reaching a lot of Cornwell. The apartment had everything that was needed. Only moan was I booked the apartment as it was one of the few that did not say no smoking in the discription but on arrival found out it was strictly no smoking.Also the only view from the apartment was the garden .

    The property lacks privacy. Although the price is said to include car parking space it doesn't.

    Response on behalf of the Owner; I am very sorry this guest was disappointed with the high standard we try our utmost to offer at Cramore. Cramore is advertised as having a shared garden and we have always tried to make guests feel at home within the property. The week this guest stayed, we had friends staying with us and the drive needed to be shared, we asked the guest to move their car for our friends to get their car out, there was no need for them to have parked on the road, they could have parked back on the drive immediately and continued to do so rather than choose to park on the road, I believe therefore this was a misunderstanding between us. I will endeavour to make sure with future guests that they do not ever have to park in the road unnecessarily, if the drive ever has to be shared again. I’m sorry that this guest felt the need to rate Cramore so poorly on these issues and hope to assure future guests the issues above are duly noted.
