Days out can be enjoyed at the World Heritage Site of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden, with its atmospheric ruins and deer park, or a fascinating collection of rock formations can be found at Brimham Rocks.

Outstanding; cleanest, best equipped cottage we have stayed in. Local shop reasonable prices. Easy journey to York and Harrogate - however, cottage was so comfortable we were quite happy to spend more time there.

    Response from:

Comfortable cottage in a beautiful location. The cottage was spotlessly clean, nicely presented and in a very peaceful location. We spent two weeks in Cragg House West Wing and it was the perfect place for exploring Yorkshire.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your kind comments. There is still a lot to see in Yorkshire if you felt like visiting again. We are very central for visiting the dales, national parks and several lovely towns.

A well-equipped quiet country cottage for two from which we enjoyed exploring the Harrogate area. The weather was good most of the time but just being inside when it is wet would probably be very nice.

The only reason why we said no to staying again is that we prefer to be around the Pickering area

A very comfortable and quiet retreat in the midst of beautiful countryside but within easy reach of tourist attractions. We appreciated the peace of the place - it was just what we needed!

A beautiful comfortable cottage, we enjoyed our stay very much, especially the super-king size bed! A car is essential as there are no local facilities; the nearest shop, which closes early, is about a mile away - a lovely walk but a very steep climb back up. Wi-fi is available in the cottage but very spasmodic and slow.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your kind comments. The cottage is in a rural area 25 mins from several towns - a peaceful getaway or walking break. To avoid disappointment - village shop opening times: Mon - Fri 7.00 - 18.00 Sat 7.00-14.00. Sunday and Bank Holidays closed.

    Response from:

Accommodation was excellent. Only criticism was that the hob only had 2 rings which meant cooking facilities were a bit limited. Ideal location for visiting nearby Harrogate, Ripley, Ripon and Knaresborough.
