At Claydon House (National Trust) visitor’s can marvel at some of England’s most lavish and unusual interiors and explore the history of the Verney family and their famous relation, Florence Nightingale (closed due to current restrictions, guests should check the opening times of the attractions referred to above before booking.) For those wishing to explore outside the grounds there are miles of public footpaths to walk leaving from the cottage’s front door, and Claydon is on Route 51 of the National Cycle Network. Buckinghamshire has a myriad of attractions and there are plenty of pubs and shops in the neighbouring villages and hamlets, the nearest being 2 miles away. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
