Our party was two adults, and two children (3y and 10m old), we were due to be joined by two grandparents for a couple of days but due to Covid they decided to stay at home. We really loved this property. It is one of best barn conversions we have stayed in, a great balance between contemporary and character. Fittings are to a very high standard, the twin multi-function Meile ovens and large Meile hob make cooking easy. Good quality washing machine, separate dryer and utility room. There are lots glass doors along three of the four aspects making light and views very enjoyable. The kitchen and living areas are huge making life very comfortable, we'd say even better than the pictures. Both are great spaces to be in. The road is very quiet allowing you to enjoy the peace and nature. There was lots of wildlife around, including a white owl we'd see regularly, lots of butterflies, bees, ladybirds and so on (our 3 year old loved all this). Also sheep, cows and horses from the farm next door. The garden was very usable with plenty of seating and a large parasol , thoughtful plants such as lavender attract bees and butterflies and there was lots of Rosemary which could be used for cooking. There were many thoughtful touches to the property including the children's books and toys, the TV which has Netflix included. Even the baby gate was good. We also liked the fact that there were plenty of supplies such as dishwasher tablets etc. all provided (it seems like a minor thing but too many times have we stayed in expensive properties and been left with a miserly 3 dishwasher tablets, one for each day at least please!). The welcome pack was also lovely with wine, prosecco, bread, butter, juice etc. Locally there is the Husk Bakery in Heydon with excellent bread (if you want the Friday night husk roasted pizza takeaway you'll need to book it days if not the full week in advance, sadly we missed out here). Tesco, Waitrose and Sainsburys all deliver (we used Tesco & Sainsbury's). Reepham town square is actually very nice, a couple of lovely pubs and picturesque. We had Sunday lunch at the Earle Arms in closeby in Heydon. The food was excellent although only one bench for four/six outside (which we got) looking over the popular green, all other outside placings were in pairs. There is medium sized Tesco supermarket about 15mins drive away in Aylsham. Aylsham also has a couple of nice bakeries and pretty square. Travel to most sights including Holkham was easy (20-30mins drive depending where you are going). Overall an excellent stay, we spent quite a lot of time at the property and appreciated its merits. We would fully recommend it.
