I loved this cottage and was here for a three week stay. Very homely and comfortable, needed for nothing. Shower is a spray, but used as a hand held spray worked fine and bath is great. Would definitely recommend

This was a lovely cottage, close to some lovely towns and villages with helpful owners next door.

We booked Cottage on the Green just a few weeks before holidaying there after having a last stab at booking somewhere having previously had two holidays cancelled elsewhere due to the Covid pandemic restrictions. The booking process was straightforward, and Calne proved to be a great location for touring the area's attractions such as Lacock, Avebury Stone Circles, Caen Hill Locks and Bath. There's many local walks plus several museums too, and the town itself has some lovely cafes and eateries. Parking along the green was OK and we always found a space on returning each day. The cottage owners were very friendly and welcoming and the cottage proved fine for our short stay in what proved to be a unseasonally hot early September week. Yes we did hear some next-door noise but this is to be expected in an older terraced building. Other points, well, the bathroom skylight was a bit of a awkward noisy beast to operate and the windows stiff to open. And as others have highlighted, the shower is pretty weak. But overall we were happy with the Cottage on the Green, Calne's facilities and the area's exploring potential.
