Viviers is a nice small French town and the house is old and very large, with lots of steps! The house would benefit from an 'instruction manual' of some sort to explain everything; machines, where things are kept, how to control lights in the garden, and so on. Having said that Olivier is a very good host and he or his friends were always available and willing to help. Normally we like hot weather but we were there during a heatwave of sometimes 40 degrees for 4-5 days and we were too hot. Although this is not the fault of the house we would have enjoyed our stay there more in less extreme conditions.
