Enter into the open plan living and dining area, with traditional wooden floors, furnished with sumptuous seating, and warmed by an attractive wood burner, the property has been fitted to a very good standard and offers quality and comfort during your stay. A small, but more than adequately equipped kitchen can be the place to create a hearty meal, but with Gosforth offering several excellent places to eat, and just a few minutes’ walk away, you may be tempted to leave the cooking for another time. Upstairs, you will find two double bedrooms, again with traditional wooden floors, the front bedroom enjoys views towards the Wasdale Fell range, whilst the rear overlooks farmland and open playing fields, perfect for watching the kids play while you relax in the garden. The bathroom is bright and stylish, with a heated towel rail to warm your towels as you step out of the bath or shower in the morning. Set back from the road, the property has a small garden to the front, whilst to the rear is an enclosed offset garden, with open views over the playing fields. The garden enjoys full sunshine, and is a perfect place to sit and relax in the evening and watch the sun go down.
For beach lovers, the open sands of nearby Seascale are ideal to let your dogs play, whilst golfers can be tempted by a traditional links course with views over to the Isle of Man and Western Scotland. Walkers will not be disappointed with Wastwater and Scafell Pike, England’s deepest lake and highest peak just a short drive away, whilst families can enjoy Muncaster Castle and a ride on the La’al Ratty, the Ravenglass and Eskdale narrow gauge railway. Beach 2½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 25 yards.

We had a lovely time at Cosy Cottage. Very good location for somewhere to eat and drink and small shop which stocked everything you would need. The cottage was very warm with amazingly comfortable beds. the garden situation was a bit confusing at first but ok when you knew which bit of garden belonged to the cottage. Would be nice for a family with small children as the playground is just at the bottom of the garden.

Lovely cottage. Cosy and comfortable. Loved the flowers (tea, coffee, milk and biscuits) Pubs are dog friendly. Only negative comment (not personal to the cottage owner) is DOGS NOT ALLOWED ON FIELD OUTSIDE THE COTTAGE!!! Maybe if there were signs to say 'dogs must be on a lead' It would be more dog-friendly.
