In a wonderful, secluded location just off the A83, high above Bellochantuy Beach with its rolling breakers and stunning views to the Isles of Islay, Jura and Gigha, the Cottage has been thoughtfully catered to a luxurious standard. A truly ideal holiday base for beach lovers, golfers and countryside enthusiasts.
Entering into a large hallway, there’s plenty of space for wellies and coats, a large utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer, and shower room with walk-in shower. Made cosy with underfloor heating and a wood-burning stove. The stunning open plan living area, with a well-equipped kitchen and dining area is an ideal social space, with patio doors opening onto decking and boasting views over the natural garden to the countryside beyond. The delightful ground-floor master bedroom with en-suite bathroom enjoys the morning sun and has countryside views to the sea in the distance through the patio doors to the decking. Upstairs is a spacious twin bedroom with dual aspect windows, enjoying countryside and fantastic sea views, served by an adjacent small bathroom. Also upstairs is a study with TV, featuring a huge picture window with telescope, to enjoy the glorious views. You will love the natural, unspoilt gardens which offer plenty of space and are enclosed by stock fencing and a cattle grid. There’s a small cycle store and decking along the front of the house with firepit and barbeque.
The village of Bellochantuy just below the cottage has a fantastic wild beach to enjoy plus a hotel with bar available, and there’s a small village shop just under 5 miles north at Muasdale. Campbeltown is just ten scenic miles distant, with shops, bars, cafes, a cinema and three whisky distilleries. There are ferries to Arran, Gigha, Islay, Jura and the Cowal peninsula all within a short drive. Kintyre has miles of unspoilt coastline with fantastic white sandy beaches and rolling countryside. There’s fantastic golfing at Machrihanish and another two local golf courses. Outdoor enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice with great opportunities for wind and kite surfing, sea angling, scuba diving, cycling and horse riding, all available locally. Beach ½ mile.
