Only 7 miles from Lake Windermere and situated in the small village of Lindale-in-Cartmel, within the Lake District National Park. This delightful, 19th-century cottage adjoins the owner’s home, and is just 2 miles from Grange-over-Sands with many restaurants, takeaways, cafes, two golf courses and a railway station. This well-equipped, character cottage has been tastefully decorated and furnished to provide an excellent holiday base from which to discover the Lake District. Just a short drive away are many historic buildings such as Holker Hall, Levens Hall and Sizergh Castle, whilst the charming village of Cartmel, with its famous 12th-century priory and racecourse, which holds 4 race meetings a year from spring to autumn, is a walkable 3 miles. Cartmel is also home to several pubs, cafes and restaurants, two of which are owned by a renowned Michelin starred chef. Visit Lake Windermere and see The Aquarium of the Lakes, the Beatrix Potter Exhibition, take a steamer trip, or simply wander along one of the many lakeside walks. There is a pub 200 yards away which is well-known locally for its excellent food. Post office and village shop 100 yards.
