This delightful little holiday cottage is situated on the outskirts of the small town of Corwen, in the Dee Valley. Conveniently located next to the A5 road, it is warm and fully double glazed throughout. There’s a pretty cottage garden with ponds and seating areas – perfect for dining alfresco. There’s a lovely kitchen/dining room and a cosy living room with a wood burner – ideal for relaxing with a glass or two of wine. From the living room, you can look across the fields to the steam trains on the Llangollen Railway as they reach the station in Corwen which is within walking distance. You can hop on the train for a nostalgic journey through Carrog, Glyndyfrdwy and Berwyn to Llangollen, home of the annual International Musical Eisteddfod. You can also take a relaxing journey on a horse drawn boat on the Llangollen Canal. Fishing licences are available locally, and just to the west of Corwen is the award-winning Rhug Farm Shop – try their bison burgers or stock up on some Welsh delicacies! Those with an interest in history will enjoy visiting the little Cadw properties of Rug Chapel and Llangar Church, whilst the National Trust properties at Erddig and Chirk Castle are both within easy reach. The town of Bala is close by and features Wales’ largest natural lake, whilst Betws-y-Coed, Gateway to the Snowdonia National Park is also within easy reach. Beach 31 miles.
