A beautiful house with everything you could possibly need for short or long stay. The views are wonderful too. A very short walk to beautiful beach, pubs & food places. Short drive to even more! Dog friendly as well. Sue adds lovely extras not expected, fresh roses, cake & biscuits, wine & milk, so thoughtful. Love the guest books for reviews & ideas too. For a perfect place to eat (with or without pooch) is The Beehive 10/10, we only stayed 4 days but went back here as we loved it so much, book tho as it’s popular! The Kings let us down unfortunately & The Waterford across the road was DIRE! The Melton Constable was friendly tho but no dogs at food time, where you going to leave your dog when you’re on holiday!? The View was great for breakfast & beautiful beach for long walk afterwards, it certainly lived up to its name! St Mary’s lighthouse was a nice close place to visit. We needed longer here at Collywell Cottage tbh. Only 2 of us with our large dog so it was expensive but worth every penny for the big pretty house. The linen was spotless & smelled fresh & the whole house was the same! We will recommend to all & hopefully be back. Thank you to the lovely owners, you should be proud of what you offer :)

Collywell Bay Cottage is a fantastic holiday home that I would recommend to anyone! The cottage is situated less than 10 minutes walk from a great sandy beach and a quick 5 minute walk to amazing rock pools. The views from the balconies are spectacular and the rooms are well equip with everything you need for a short/long stay. The house was extremely clean with modern equipment and a well equip kitchen. The home is very dog friendly with bowls, blankets and treats being available a nice touch. The owner was very friendly and provided a great deal of recommendations and the cottage comes with a comprehensive handbook to provide you with key information. The cottage is well situated, being less than 30 minutes drive from Newcastle city centre and is close to many other key attractions such as Whitley Bay, Morpeth and Alnwick. I can’t recommend this property enough. Our party of 7 had a great experience in this cosy but large holiday home. We would stay in this property again in a heartbeat.
