This charming house is absolutely perfect for a gathering of family and friends, with a garden, lots of living space and masses to do nearby. There was a red deer in the field on the day I visited.

Collalis is on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and just 5 miles from the shores of the loch. In a wonderfully open rural setting with wide horizons and views of Ben Lomond, this detached house is located on a working beef and sheep farm and is accessed by a long private farm track. This is an ideal spot for gatherings of families to enjoy the secluded surroundings and still have lots of activities nearby. There is space for everyone to spread out, with an elegant drawing room, hall with cosy wood burner, and a sociable open plan kitchen and dining area, which opens onto a terrace with ample seating and barbecue. The sun room is a perfect refuge for the in-between days, and there are several seating options dotted around the garden. Drymen has a good variety of eating places and there is a wide choice of outdoor activities locally with golf, fishing and a range of water sports to suit all ages, including sailing, canoeing and water skiing. There are many walking and cycle routes within the National Park and around the loch. Almost unbelievably, the charismatic city of Glasgow is only 18 miles away, and Stirling with its castle perched above the town is well worth a visit. Beach 14¼ miles. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 6 miles.
