Description

The Yorkshire Dales and Lake District are easily accessible and Durham city is less than 5 miles away.

Ground floor: Living room with wooden floor. Dining room/kitchen with wooden floor. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin.

Gas central heating and electricity £20per week, £15 per short break. Bed linen and towels included. DVD. CD. Electric cooker. Washing machine. Fridge/freezer. Rear courtyard with sitting-out area and furniture. On road parking. Welcome pack. No smoking. Please note: Couples and family bookings only.

This stone-built, terraced cottage, formerly a colliery worker’s home, is a good holiday base for touring this area of natural beauty. Tudhoe sits between Spennymoor and Durham, an excellent location for cycling, walking and fishing. Durham city is 4.5 miles, with its Norman cathedral and castle, cobbled medieval streets, and shopping centre, and Durham University is only 3.5 miles away. Visit Beamish Open Air Museum and Barnard Castle (½ hour’s drive). Bishop Auckland Castle is close by, Shildon National Railway Museum is 8.5 miles. The Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District are easily accessible. This property is also ideal for the Durham Lumiere, a light festival extravaganza held every two years. Bus stop to local attractions across the road. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 0.5 miles.
