This lovely, cosy end of terrace cottage is in a quiet street within easy walking distance of Banff’s attractive marina. Enjoy a restful break at any time of the year; the cottage is cheerfully furnished with a good level of comfort and the owners have thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable. The favourable climate here ensures long sunny days throughout the summer, ideal for enjoying long beach walks on golden stretches of sand found all along the coast, interspersed with rocky coves and clifftop paths.
By contrast, visit Duff House, a magnificent example of Baroque architecture and Scotland’s premier country house gallery, which houses a rich collection of paintings and other works of art. There are lovely walks along the River Deveron and the well-respected Duff House Royal Golf Course is just at the edge of the town. Banff itself enjoys spectacular sea views, magnificent sunsets, clean air and sea angling. There is plenty to occupy guests from the numerous castles and historic monuments which you will find, along good cycle routes, and pony trekking. Explore the Whisky Trail further inland which wends its way through dramatic scenery, or visit the city of Aberdeen approximately 1 hour away for retail therapy, cinemas and theatre. Beach 200 yards. Shops, pubs and restaurants 200 yards.

Welcome pack was lovely and thoughtful. Cottage clean and well equipped. Negatives: not enough comfy seats in living room for 4 adults. Would benefit from own enclosed back garden and a back door instead of having to walk round the building to get to bins and enter a shared back garden through someone else’s garden. Not what we expected as dogs are allowed and it did say in the advert that there was a small courtyard garden to sit out. Master bed upstairs far too low for an older person and very low ceiling in both bed rooms. Single duvets on double bed bit of a nuisance. Changes to checkin and checkout times should be highlighted before booking, we left a day early rather than rush about for a 9.00am checkout in the morning. It’s a 5.00pm checkin, however we received a text to say cottage was ready around 2.00pm. Instructions on how the temperature should be when using the radiators, because of rising electricity costs. Sorry but these costs are rising for everyone and we don’t need to be instructed as to what the temp should be, if you are cold then the radiators are surely there to be used without feeling guilty.

The cottage was ideal for my intentions during my stay. It had all the kit I needed and was very comfortable.
