Excellent property. Very comfortable and homely and in a great location. There are a lot of stairs though so not suitable for people with mobility problems.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; So pleased you enjoyed your stay. We love the original staircase, it’s a beautiful feature of the house and agree it’s not for those with mobility issues. But it does take you up to great views of Castle MacLellan.

My only reservation would be the fairly steep stairs in this property. Absolutely fine for younger, more agile visitors. To be fair, this is pointed out at the outset. Otherwise, perfect central location, close to all amenities and we particularly enjoyed the open air "Scottish Night" just around the corner on Thursday evenings in July and August. Beautifully clean and much appreciated welcome pack. We enjoyed our stay. ?

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your kind feedback. We hope the stairs didn't spoil your stay. As you say, the location couldn't be better to enjoy the local shops, museums, cafes and restaurants.

We had a fantastic holiday at Cochrane House, the house was clean, spacious and very well equipped with bags of character and lovely big windows. Our 3 year old loved the selection of books and DVD's in the house and the fantastic wooden train set she found in her bedroom too. There were lots of thoughtful touches that made the holiday easy and very enjoyable.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you, the train set was a firm favourite of our three children. Really pleased it was enjoyed. And thank you for your lovely review.
