I love this cute cottage as it sits in a brilliant location. The owners are passionate about preserving the history and making it a great self-catering property to stay for a short break or week long holiday.
We have recommended to all of our accommodation providers that they consider Covid-19 guidance to adapt their cleaning processes. The owner of this accommodation has told us they are following the Safer Stays message, which includes:

This cute Grade II listed, terraced cottage was built around 1760 and was used as the towns cobblers shop from 1856 to just after WWII. The current owners have created a lovely space and are passionate about preserving the history of the cottage, and this is a great base from which to enjoy everything this fabulous area has to offer. The bedroom and living space are on the first floor, and a well-equipped kitchen/dining room and a shower room, which was fitted in 2020 and features a drencher shower, are on the ground floor. The cottage is steeped in history, with every hook, nail and beam telling a story. With the property being a former cobblers shop, grocers, hairdressers, florist, greengrocers, children’s clothes shop, map shop and an antiques shop, there are plenty of stories to tell. Upton-upon-Severn is famous for its many annual festivals held around the year including jazz, blues, folk and other music festivals. The town has a heritage centre, the Tudor House Museum and also boasts its own marina for members and visitors. The cottage is in an extremely convenient position, with a butchers opposite and being practically in the centre, with many pubs along the riverside, quirky and independent shops, cafés and restaurants for you to enjoy if you don’t want to travel. The Severn Way almost passes by the front door, however there is so much to see in the surrounding area. The Malvern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, is a mere 5 miles away and The Cotswolds, with its many quintessential towns and villages, is a short drive. The Elgar Route, which inspired Elgar to compose some of his greatest music, passes along the town to his birthplace museum. The cathedral cities of Gloucester and Worcester are close by, as are the towns of Tewkesbury, Pershore and Evesham. Stay for a few days or for a week in this beautiful cosy cottage in the heart of Upton-upon-Severn. Shop 100 yards, pub and restaurant 50 yards.
