Our second stay at Coastguards Retreat in a year. This is a lovely place to stay for a couple, really comfortable and cosy. Its compact but with everything you need. There is a great pub and beach bar nearby, and both do really good food. Ideal for surfing ( the surfing school is excellent ) and beautiful walks.

Very small accommodation. Beach not as close as expected. Had to walk about a mile on road and over sand dunes

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the studio apartment and were very comfortable The surrounding is beautiful, gorgeous beaches. Gwithian and Hayle are both lovely areas, people are so friendly. It is quite a central area for all travelling north and south coasts and Lidle is just up the road in Hayle for food shopping. It would have been good to have the facility of an iron and ironing board, so I was glad that I took my travelling iron. I would stay with Coastguards again.

The location was ideal for the beaches. One drawback was the busy coastal road. There was no parking on drive, so had to park on road opposite the cottage. The cottage itself was of a good standard, very clean, comfortable bed and a welcome pack left which was a nice touch. I would have liked an iron and ironing board which was not included. I would definitely recommend this place to other people if holidaying in Cornwall.

Lovely little place, compact, but all you need. There is parking, but it is on the road. Other than that, great!
