We had a very pleasant stay at Coachman's Cottage. It was clean, cosy and homely and was very pleasantly decorated and furnished in a nautical design, throughout. The local village had a grocery shop and post office, pub, hotel, golf course and couple of restaurants all within walking distance and the beach was a 15-20min walk away and brilliant for rock pooling and paddling (sand and shingle). The hosts in the cottage (who live next door in an adjoining property) were very personable and arranged extra special touches, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, we weren't able to sit outside to eat in the pretty courtyard garden at the back, due to the wasps, but we were hardly in anyway, so it didn't reduce the enjoyment of our stay. We were pretty much in the centre of the north Norfolk coastline, giving easy access each direction in terms of checking out different coastal towns and beaches.

A beautiful, tastefully decorated cottage. Lovely seaside theme. In a perfect location for exploring North Norfolk. Buses run through the village at regular intervals, hardly needed to use the car. Beach nearby perfect for young families and only a short stroll from the village.

We would not stay again as we never stay somewhere twice - but would certainly recommend the cottage to anyone wanting to stay in the area. Our only disappointment was the size of the television in the lounge which was the only one in the house. I can understand from the room arrangement it was fitted into a corner to not obscure the real fire fireplace, but as the central heating was very efficient and the cottage very warm I see no real reason to provide a real fire option, especially as it was coal and had to be have various things done to it before it could be used, it would be better to have a larger TV which overlapped that fireplace than offer the fireplace for use. Even on hot summer nights most people end up coming home to watch a bit of TV, especially with children or even to watch the news. Most cottages we have been to before have TV's in bedrooms and often the kitchen too.

A really nicely equipped and comfortable cottage. Couldn't have asked for more.
